We are currently hiring a Flooring Installer to join our team in Portage, Michigan. This is a full-time position for someone with experience in residential flooring who takes quality seriously and works well both independently and as part of a crew. If you’re dependable, skilled, and ready to put your talents to use in homes across our service area, we’d love to meet you.
Here’s what you’ll do
Measure and cut flooring materials to fit precisely within designated areas
Install a wide variety of flooring types including hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet
Prepare surfaces for installation by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors as needed
Interpret blueprints and layout specifications to ensure accurate installations
Perform trim carpentry and finishing touches to complete the look of each flooring job
Collaborate with team members and other trades on-site to keep projects running smoothly
Maintain a clean and safe workspace and follow all job site safety protocols
Communicate with clients professionally and keep them informed on progress
Here’s what we’re looking for
Proven experience in flooring installation
Familiarity with tile laying techniques is a plus
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A positive attitude and a desire to contribute to a high-performing company
Compensation and Benefits
Full-time position
Pay ranges from 21.00 to 40.00 per hour depending on experience
